Greetings!

I hope everyone is able to stay warm through the cold freeze that we have been experiencing lately. Well, the holidays are over and it is back to the daily grind. Last month Santa Clara Valley joined forces with the San Francisco Chapter in a joint holiday party. It was a blast with dinner, dancing, silent auction, mingling, and lots of fun! I want to take a minute to thank the committee and the sponsors that made it possible for the event to happen. There was a lot of work that went in to the planning and it is very much appreciated. There were several comments of wanting to make this joint-event an annual occurrence.

Have you thought about taking the Construction Document Technology (CDT) exam? Are you undecided and on the fence? There are several opportunities to learn more about the CDT and studying for the spring exam sessions. Redwood Empire is offering an on-going webinar bases study class and San Francisco is hosting a one day Boot Camp in early February. Check these local sessions out to learn more about the exam.

Are you new to CSI? Do you know anyone who might be interested in joining? We would love to have you and your colleagues join us at our Chapter meetings. One of the best reasons to come to the meetings is to meet people and get the education that is provided, right? Enjoy what CSI has to offer and what Santa Clara Valley has to offer – great friends, lots of contacts, and great programs. So come check us out!

Is there a specific topic that you want to know more about? Please let us know so that we can get it in the lineup for programs this year. Keep in mind upcoming events: CSI Certification exams in March and April, West Region Conference in Hawaii in late April, and the Annual Convention in Baltimore in early September. There is so much to do and so little time!

I look forward to seeing you at the next Chapter meeting!

Sincerely,

Julie Barrett
